Evacuation diagrams
Under AS 3745-2010, facilities must display clear, current evacuation diagrams to help occupants understand how to leave the building safely during an emergency.
If your diagrams are missing, out of date, or still look like they belong in the Blockbuster era, it is probably time for a review.

ACTWELL helps businesses meet their compliance requirements by designing, printing and installing high-quality evacuation diagrams tailored to the site.
What AS 3745-2010 requires
AS 3745-2010 requires evacuation diagrams to be displayed in facilities and to include key information such as:
- The “You Are Here” location
- Designated exit routes
- The nearest fire equipment
- Assembly areas
- Emergency call points
They must also be:
- Oriented correctly to the viewer’s position
- Installed in visible locations
- Reviewed and updated every 5 years, or sooner if the layout changes
Evacuation diagrams are a core part of your site’s emergency planning and help prepare staff, visitors and contractors for a safe evacuation.
