Course Description
This Competency Standard Unit covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the work place. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.
Industry standards for refresher training vary from state to state. Most states recommend refresher training for this unit every 12 months.
This course runs approximately 4 hours face to face. Students attending our flexible delivery First Aid courses must complete a pre-course workbook PRIOR to their practical sessions.

COURSE DELIVERY
This course will be delivered in the workplace or at ACTWell First Aid & Training Canberra’s training facility.
COURSE DURATION (face to face)
• Blended delivery – 4 hours (minimum) with the addition of 1 hours self-paced learning

This course is delivered and assessed by ACTWell First Aid & Training in partnership and under the auspice of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.

COURSE FEES AND PAYMENTS
The fee for this course is $125, or $100 for refresher training

Payment Terms – Payment for individual participants is upfront, group booking payment terms are based on agreement between the client and service provider.
ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks. These are detailed in the sections following.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor. The course involves a practical demonstration of a rescue.
