Nationally recognised Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) and first attack qualifications
Nationally recognised Course Set – PUAFER005, PUAFER006 & PUAFER008 Warden, Chief Warden and Fire Extinguisher training, Canberra ACT
Introduction
ACTWELL runs public sessions of nationally recognised training at our facility in Fyshwick, Canberra ACT. We also offer nationally recognised training privately on site at your facility. You can find out more about nationally recognised vs. non-accredited training here.
Not every workplace runs private group training. Some roles require an accredited qualification regardless of how your employer organises their emergency planning. If you work across multiple sites as a contractor, attending a private session at each one is not practical.
These public courses give you a nationally recognised qualification in emergency response, first attack firefighting, or both. You will train at our purpose-built Fyshwick facility alongside other professionals preparing for the same responsibilities.
One thing to be clear about: a public course gives you the qualification. It does not replace your workplace’s site-specific emergency plan. Your facility’s Emergency Planning Committee (EPC) is still responsible for ensuring you understand the procedures, layout and systems at each site where you operate.
Our trainers are emergency service professionals. They bring operational experience into every session.

Important note on public courses

ACTWELL also delivers private, site-specific ECO and first attack training for organisations that require tailored delivery.
